This seems to be the earliest available version of Tom Thumb to date (April 2015) via archive.org. It is written much in the Shakespearean format of plays: love, intrigue, and extreme tragedy.
This version of Tom Thumb is written in an extended poem format. Born from magic in his mother's pocket, Tom is a good boy who wins favor with everyone including the King Arthur and his Queen. The King is admires Thomas so much that he makes him a knight. Of course, due to his size it is really difficult not to get into trouble. When good King Arthur and his queen pass away, another King and Queen come into power. The Queen is jealous of the attention her husband, King Thunston, pays to Sir Thomas that she is able to convince the King of treachery done by Tom. The King is convinced and desires for Tom to pay the ultimate penalty--death. Tom escapes and through a string of experiences, eventually follows the tale of the play and meets a tragic end.
